The Human Rights of Indigenous Peoples

One of the most hotly contested international debates today is the problem of indigenous peoples.  We have assembled this page to inform the general public of the plight of the global indigenous population and of the situations of various groups of indigenous peoples around the world.  The first section of the page provides information on the general problems facing indigenous peoples today, paying particular attention to violations of their human rights.  The second section tells about the international politics behind this problem, and the third describes what is being done about it right now, and prescriptions for the problem in the future.

Section 1:
Why is this a problem?
Section 2:
What are the politics behind the problem?
Section 3:
What are the possible solutions to the problem?
