• Primarily “use computers regularly and try out new things but I work best with good instruction and help”
  
• Three had not used a CMS before and two had (publisher sponsored site)
  
• All using technology in some capacity in at least 75% of courses they teach
  
• All felt that CHEF or any CMS would be helpful in managing a course, citing things such as grade book, auto-grade, out of class discussion, submission and return of assignments, quizzes
  
• Pedagogically, 3 felt CHEF influenced how they taught the course, and 2 did not
• No, but had I required participation in the discussion section, it might have
• Yes, used websites in class more than I might have normally
  
• “Coolest thing” CHEF allowed:
• Detailed feedback in the text & their papers; this is a primary reason I wanted CHEF. Papers then returned on time
• Decreased paperwork/let organize web resources
• Allowed instant access to extra material
  
• Envisioning how CHEF/CMS might change their teaching:
• Prepare for class based on student work submitted before class
• Save time with online quizzes and tests
  
• Exasperations with CHEF itself:
• Figuring out how to post web resources - not obvious
• Schedule did not work; can't copy assignments from one course to another easily, having grade sheet in new version does help
• Easy to "freeze" files if not careful in saving
• Not being able to use the back button
  
• Problems with CHEF “remotely” seemed contained to slow speeds (upload of files, log-ons)
