Radiometric Dating Techniques
Since the middle of the twentieth century, radiometric dating techniques have helped geologists and archaeologists give certain samples a specific and concrete age. Before this and other 'absolute' dating methods, scientists could only determine the relative or chronological ages of samples. Thanks to the consistency of natural radioactive decay, science has found a measuring tool for seemingly unmeasurable amounts of time. Author:
