What is Broadband
Broadband is like the internet of the past, it just has a little twist. When the internet was first introduced to the mainstream public it was carried to peoples' house by a telephone line. Broadband internet get to a person's home by wireless cables and satellite systems. Broadband is a much faster version of the telephone system. Broadband delivers text, graphics, audio and still-frame video and interactive services at speeds that no telephone line could ever match.
Can money be made off Broadband?
Money can be made of Broadband. The way that money is made is through the service provider. People have to pay to get Broadband internet in they home. Since the introduction of broadband make industries have expanded so that their company have the composites to provide broadband service. Some industries that have jump into the broadband service are Cable operators, long distance companies, local exchange carriers, TV broadcasters, satellite companies, PC makers, software developers, content producers and Internet service providers1. Probably the most notable business move mad in the past years dealing with broadband service was the America Online and Time Warner Cable merger. This merger was the largest corporate marge ever. The people at America Online saw the huge earnings potential in the high-speed internet market and took a decided the the best way to make the most money with broadband was to merge with a company that has experience with how cable lines worked, so the transition would not be as hard and cost as much.
How the internet is expanding
Since so many companies are entering into the high-speed internet market there are many ways in which it can expand. All the companies are competing with each other for provide a service that all the companies can provide. They companies have to provide something that the competitors are not able to offer like free installation, low rates or more speed. This will be good for the consumer because the rates will become lower and more accessible to people, and the more people that are using broadband the more money that the companies will make. For example AOL/Time Warner will made this much more money(i don't have time to find how much money yet but i will). Plus i will also find how much broadband subsections has grown in the past years
Other ways to make money with the internet
With more and more people subscribing to faster internet service, there will be more ways to make money with the internet. I don't have time to finish this now but i will before monday.
