SVM Rework
Tags: PAU

PAU had a kink with its mirrored boot disks the other day. I ended up taking everything back to raw cXtXdXsX devices for the first disk, setting everything to the mid-Jumpstart mount points, and then re-running the SVM encapsulation script again. One side effect of this is that it now has the same SVM device numbering structure as LAFI and LUMANA.

Sendmail/LDAP
Tags: E-Mail , KE

Sendmail on KE was updated this morning to perform LDAP routing. A new version of the sendmail package, compiled with LDAP support, replaced the previous version. The alias map was replaced with calls to LDAP, as done on both TAIKA and BARIS. This allows for a smoother transition to SIPALA as we migrate users and update the LDAP mailHost attribute.

PAU has had a basic installation done, with Veritas Foundation, NetBackup, and the Forte developer tools added on after Jumpstart. It is using LUN 0 of the second half of each of the new Xserve RAID units for its data partition (see Fibre Channel SAN in the TWiki documentation).
